RIP James. Gunther is not dead!

Gunther passed away today. I write his name without quotes because, as James Michael Tyler, he is known to a few.

I'm glad that he managed to star in "Friends: The Reunion" and we were able to see him again.

He passed away tonight (in the US as early as October 24th) due to cancer. He was only 59 years old.

Tyler was diagnosed in September 2018. In June of this year, he said that he had the fourth stage, which had spread to the musculoskeletal system.

Before filming Friends, he worked as a real barista at the Bourgeois Pig coffee shop near Hollywood. Gunther appeared in 150 of the show's 256 episodes, more than any other minor character.

RIP James. Gunther is not dead! He is still on screen with us.
